ReRune

Terms of Service

These Terms set out the contractual rules for accessing and using ReRune, a software localization platform operated by BasalBit GmbH.

Scope and acceptance

ReRune is operated by BasalBit GmbH and provides software localization workflows for businesses, freelancers, and individuals who need to manage projects, languages, translation keys, translation values, imports, exports, collaborators, optional translation integrations, programmatic sync, and OTA runtime delivery.

By creating an account, accepting an invitation, starting a trial, subscribing to a paid plan, or otherwise accessing ReRune, users agree to be bound by these Terms.

Accounts, authorization, and workspace control

Users must provide accurate account information, keep credentials secure, and use ReRune only through accounts they are authorized to access.

Organisation owners, project owners, and billing owners control invited users, workspace access, roles, billing ownership, integrations, exports, API or CLI usage, and runtime delivery configuration. BasalBit GmbH treats actions performed through an authenticated account as actions authorized by that account.

Customer content and license

Customers keep ownership of translation content, prompts, dictionaries, placeholders, metadata, comments, tags, project files, imports, exports, and other content submitted to ReRune.

Users grant BasalBit GmbH the limited rights required to host, store, copy, process, translate, display, export, deliver, and transmit customer content solely for operating ReRune, performing requested workflows, supporting the account, securing the service, and complying with law.

Users are responsible for the accuracy, legality, quality, and suitability of customer content and for ensuring that all required rights, notices, permissions, and legal bases exist before content is uploaded or submitted to integrations.

Data processing terms

Where customer content contains personal data and BasalBit GmbH processes that personal data on behalf of a customer, the Data Processing Agreement forms part of these Terms and BasalBit GmbH processes that personal data under the customer's documented instructions.

Customers that require a data processing agreement for GDPR Article 28 processing can contact BasalBit GmbH at info@basalbit.com.

Acceptable use

Users must use ReRune lawfully and must not misuse the platform, interfere with service operation, attempt unauthorized access, overload the service, bypass limits, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, upload malware, upload unlawful content, or use ReRune to infringe third-party rights.

Users must not place secrets, credentials, payment card data, health data, regulated sensitive data, or unlawful material into translation strings, prompts, dictionaries, comments, metadata, or imported files unless they have all required rights, legal bases, and safeguards.

Translation output and optional integrations

Machine translation, AI-assisted translation, imports, exports, placeholder handling, project dictionaries, and runtime delivery workflows are tools for software localization. Users remain responsible for reviewing all translations, generated output, formatting, placeholders, exported files, and production content before use.

DeepL and OpenRouter are optional integrations configured by the customer. ReRune submits content to the selected provider only when a user triggers the relevant workflow. The provider's separate terms and privacy information apply to the provider-side service.

Programmatic access, exports, and OTA delivery

Users are responsible for programmatic access credentials, access tokens, CLI usage, imported files, exported files, SDK configuration, OTA publish IDs, and runtime delivery settings they create or use through ReRune.

Runtime delivery settings affect production applications. Users must test configuration changes, review translation values, and ensure that app releases, SDK integration, fallback behavior, and OTA usage match their own production requirements.

Plans, trial, billing, and Stripe

ReRune offers a free account that users can use indefinitely for testing and evaluating the platform within the free-account limits.

Some paid plans include a 14-day trial with a payment method collected through Stripe. The trial converts into a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.

Stripe handles payment methods, checkout, subscriptions, tax calculation, invoices, customer portal access, cancellations, and refunds. The billing flow and customer portal show the applicable plan, trial, renewal price, billing interval, and cancellation controls.

Cancellation and refunds

Users can cancel trial conversion or subscription renewal from the ReRune dashboard or the Stripe customer portal. After cancellation, paid features remain available until the end of the paid billing period. At period end, the account moves to the free account unless another plan is selected.

Refunds are provided only where required by law or explicitly granted case-by-case. Stripe handles refunds, cancellations, invoices, subscriptions, payment methods, tax calculation, and customer portal workflows.

Downgrade and free-account limits

If usage exceeds free-account limits after downgrade, ReRune does not delete existing translation data because of the downgrade. ReRune blocks adding additional translation keys and disables OTA capability until usage fits the free account or a paid plan is selected.

Suspension and termination

BasalBit GmbH can suspend, restrict, or terminate access where an account breaches these Terms, creates security risk, creates legal risk, causes service abuse, fails required billing, or uses ReRune in a way that threatens the service or other users.

Users can stop using ReRune at any time and can delete their profile from profile settings. Deletion is irreversible. Users should export data before deleting the profile and cancel active subscriptions where needed.

Service changes and availability

ReRune is provided with reasonable care. BasalBit GmbH can update, improve, restrict, or discontinue features where needed for security, compliance, reliability, product operation, or technical maintenance, while mandatory consumer rights and paid subscription entitlements remain unaffected.

ReRune does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Users remain responsible for backups, release checks, translation review, fallback handling, and production validation in their own software delivery process.

Warranty and liability

ReRune is provided with reasonable care, but customers remain responsible for reviewing translations, integrations, exported files, runtime delivery settings, and production content.

BasalBit GmbH does not limit liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, liability under the Product Liability Act, guarantees expressly assumed, or other liability that cannot be limited by mandatory law.

For ordinary negligence, BasalBit GmbH is liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations and only for foreseeable damages typical for this type of contract. In all other cases, liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

BasalBit GmbH is not liable for translation errors, integration output, customer decisions based on ReRune content, indirect damages, lost profits, lost data, or business interruption except where mandatory law requires liability.

Mandatory rights

Mandatory consumer protections and other non-waivable statutory rights remain unaffected.

Cancellation, refunds, trial conversion, and subscription management follow these Terms and the information presented through Stripe checkout or the Stripe customer portal.

Governing law

German law applies. Mandatory consumer protections and other mandatory laws that cannot be excluded remain unaffected.
